The World Bank described the FBR’s performance as satisfactory

ISLAMABAD: The World Bank has termed the performance of the Federal Board of Revenue as satisfactory and assured the FBR of its cooperation in implementing the program. According to the FBR, the assurance was given by World Bank Country Director Bin Hassan Naje in a meeting with FBR Chairman Dr Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed at FBR Headquarters.

According to the FBR, the meeting reviewed the performance of the World Bank’s program Pakistan Rises Revenue. The World Bank Country Director commended the Chairman FBR and his team for their efforts to ensure full implementation of the program and expressed satisfaction with the Bank.

The FBR team identified various aspects of the program, which could be worked out in a concerted effort by the FBR and the World Bank. Team FBR highlighted further points that could help achieve the program’s goal of sustainable revenue generation. The World Bank has assured the FBR of its support in implementing the program.
