WELLINGTON: Martyr Naeem Rashid was awarded New Zealand’s highest honor for his bravery in the terrorist attack on a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand. Naeem Rashid, a Pakistani national, was awarded New Zealand’s highest gallantry medal for bravery in a dangerous situation during a terrorist attack. Despite being shot, Naeem Rashid tried to disarm and control the white terrorist. Naeem Rashid’s son was also martyred during this attempt.
New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said more lives could have been lost if the attack had not been resisted. The people who tried to stop the attack were unusual and did not care about the lives of others. In 2019, 51 worshipers were martyred in the indiscriminate firing of white terrorists in the mosque of Christ Church.
